3 Months to Go!

Monday officially made it 3 months to graduation.

Exciting. Right?

Meh. I guess but I'm still clueless.

Today we had a meeting in the Student Center, "Senior Summit", with the update 411 blah blah blah, stuff ya need to know because you'll be asking later.

Sooooo how about, the "ring guy" (no, not Jostens) came in for a minute to talk about rings and only mentioned up to 10K. Then some girl, who seemed to be disgusted by this fact asked, "YOU ONLY HAVE UP TO 10 KARATS?!" This is when everyone turns and gives her the "wtF?" face.

Exxxxxxcccuuuussssseeee me, Miss Only-24-Karats-touch-my-body! We're only buying CLASS rings here. Not our damn wedding rings! You can calm that sadiddy BS RIIIGHT DOWN!

Lmao yea...i'm hatin that she probably has money to pay for a $500+ class ring! Shoot, I'm still trying to figure out how to pay for February's rent AND March! sMh...

Oh, and did you know we have to pay for cap and gowns?!

Why is this a shock to me?

BECAUSE I JUST GAVE MORGAN $75 IN JULY TO APPLY TO GRADUATE!! WTF DO YOU NEED ANOTHER $41 FOOOR?!?!

So, what did the $75 go to? Not to pay the people who had to go through and make sure I'm cleared to graduate. Nah. It goes to the stage I must walk across to get my degree and the chairs I must sit uncomfortably in 3 hrs before I can get to the stage!! sMh. Just mail my degree! Good grief.

Now I'm in the pursuit of finding $41 by March 1. Morgan will definitely gag when I just walk in my Sunday's best! (come as you are!!!)

And why did this girl get nasty with me because she didn't see the flyer for senior portraits last semester? Sweetheart, its 2009! You better get with the times! WHO ISN'T ON FACEBOOK?! sMh...If MY MOM knows how to activate a myspace account, YOU my friend, should be on facebook. Especially if you're trying to be down with the college life!

One more thing. I'm sitting here trying to do this computer lit assignments (you know, trying not to procrastinate even though they're due next tuesday). Why are there like 9 different assignments? And one of them is to "define a thumbnail and its dimensions". {straight face}

I hate this bullshit.

There is N O T H I NG fun about looking for a job!

So I'm trying to play it smart and start this job search waaaay before May 16th (graduation!!)

Yesterday, I found out that I didn't get my internship at The Federal Reserve Bank downtown - bummer. But on a brighter note, I'm having a great time at my internship with Gypsy Soul and have a chance to see Talib Kweli tomorrow night at Sonar!

But to get to the point, I've spent the last hour job hunting. Trying to get my resume out and about. This weekend I am definitely going to work on my resume.
