I Was Gone for a Minute Now I'm Back Again...

GET IT TOGETHER GIRL!

Graduation is 52 days away!!!

So I've got senioritis in the WORST way!

Going to class through out the month of March was a STRUGGLE! yeeeeeep kinda didnt go!

I'm not just some mega slacker its just that so much BS in The Spokesman office has been distracting me from whats REALLY important!! Okay, no more excuses. Once I realized I had missed a test - WAKE UP CALL! I CLEARLY need all the classes I'm taking this semester so I can graduate in MAY!! Oh and classes end for seniors April 24 - AHHHHH

Meanwhile, I've traveled to Greensboro and Kansas City for our basketball team's historic run to the NCAA tourney - GO BEARS! (pics to come one day...0

So I had finally updated my resume (its actually pretty snazzy! Thanks Dad for your help!) and applied for this job in NC (possible place of relocation b/c cost of living is AFFORDABLE!!!) and then I lost my freakin flashdrive! I'm sooooooo blown!

In the past week I lost my laundry card, flashdrive, ROOM KEY and my voice! UGGGGGH!!
Well my voice is back, I got a new room key and laundry card....flashdrive? I love that flashdrive and hope I find it..... =(

Resume Writing ... ugh

Creating...updating...editing my resume is frustrating.

Everyone has their own input on what they think should be on a resume and at the end of the day I just get worn out and pissed off.

I once met a recruiter (who was at every conference I went to last year) who wanted to see references at the bottom, then another recruiter said no. Parents say one thing, professors say another, mentors say something else, recruiters say another - its a mess!

Finding the common denominator amongst the algebraic chaos has never been so hard! And I HATE math!

I'm suppose to be going out of town this week for the MEAC basketball tournament and thanks to the death of my computer's hard drive (another one bites the dust) I am making use of Morgan's unaccommodating computer lab times to get myself hired!

Why dont the computers NOT IN THE LAB have Microsoft office? grrrrrrrrrrr!!!!! But I digress...

I am currently waiting for the lab to reopen at 6pm because it just closed at 4:45...smh

Late last week I got an email inviting me to apply for a position in Raleigh, NC (thats all the info I'm giving out right now...don't wanna jinx it!) so I'm working to meet that deadline - which is fastly approaching - along with another deadline for the Baltimore Orioles.

As long as I see there are possiblities things don't look so grim.

School is an absolute SNORE.

Trust me I have senioritis at its worst! With the snow day last week, I barely made it to any classes using the student publications office as my haven for other work. Like my
awesome internship (you're jealous. i know.)

Next week is midterm week. And then spring break. And before you know it, April is here. The last month of school for seniors. Kind of bittersweet.

I need it all to slow down so I can regroup and get my mind together and get my butt back in classes! sMh...

Laughing Eases the Pain ... sometimes

Last week pretty much R O C K E D!

From a few nights free at a hotel with good company to back to classes and the countdown to graduation

The week started off normal...

Until I had to escort a drunken Jordan home at 2am because...well because the girl had issues and i was being a good friend! lmao

IHOP gave us the courtesy of free pancakes on tuesday! yeeeessssss [I would like to note that in the process of waiting for these pancakes Jordan, Brandon and Mary interrupted a potential relationship between myself and "Yao Ming" who works at the "Spirits" store across the street]

Wednesday- Mos Def concert - A W E S O M E

Thursday - The Appetizer with Kimberly Nichole @ Eden's Lounge - awesome times 2!! Live music is whats up! You all need to get out and experience what is being offered up in Baltimore now a days!

Friday- PJ Morton @ Reginald F. Lewis Museum - lets just say I was spoiled by great music this week! Oh, and memo to all the single ladies - please get some morals and not try to show up looking for a husband at a function just because you saw '100 Black Men of Maryland" in the headlines! smh...this is NOT a dating service!

Saturday - my last pep band game!!! probably ever. yea...i'm in the band! The boys won! And Saturday night...lol its all kinda fuzzy now. but it was great

Sunday - great service at church! what more could i ask for?! but that $110 bill at the grocery store hurt

speaking of which....the pains of growing..being an adult...ugh i had to spend over $1000 for past due rent and march, $75 for cell phone, $32 towards the credit card and $43 to that dang cap and gown!

But as I'm sitting with a full belly [thanks to Cynthia's home cooking and a couple drinks at CVP] I'm completely grateful that i briefly had the money to spend on those bills and the friends who helped me laugh the week away!

Now, lets hope this snow comes and Morgan State acts like they have some sense to cancel class!! Better yet...where's my boo?! Time to get snow'd in!
